Lighting windows in Rydal is an Advent calendar where each door is an installation in a window in the old spinning factory. The gaps are created by private individuals, artists and schools as well as representatives from associations, businesses and village teams.
Every day from November 29 at From 3 pm to 24 December, a new window will light up in this giant Advent calendar. Experience the windows on the museum's facade at 5.00-9.00 and 15.00-23.00 until 10 January. Staff from the museum were on a study visit to Saltaire in 2019 and have received inspiration from there.

The craft group Akleja, which I run together with 10 other crafters, has 2 windows this year. On the 29/11 and 6/12 we will light on our windows. In connection with the inauguration, we will offer “Glögg” and “pepparkakor” out by the window. Welcome to attend the inauguration at 15.00 these days. The Akleja craft store is also open as usual throughout December, so feel free to come in and shop before Christmas. We have corona protective thinking in the store.
More information about the windows will be added continuously out on the museum's website and social media. With Advent in Mark hope we can put Mark on the map and with the creative the process creates conditions for joy and togetherness.
